Oceanrunners |
 |
'Oceanrunners' operate from the historic "Town of 1770". We have a Gemini 7.3
metre RIB capable of carrying nine passengers. These boats are used by the military all over the
world taking on any ocean conditions.
As the boat is 'ocean capable', we specialise in taking people
to out of the way locations not otherwise accessible. You will experience a variety of marine and
bird life in a pristine environment, miles of isolated sandy beaches, where you can beachcomb,
bushwalk to an historic lighthouse, swim, snorkel, or just relax in the crystal clear waters.
We also offer high speed mind blowing thrill rides that will guarantee to get your adrenaline
pumping, more for the very adventurous, or for that corporate team building exercise.
So whether you want to relax with an intimate group of friends and take an "eco tour"
to that special isolated beach somewhere, or get your heart pumping on "The Ride", or just make,
'The Bay and Beyond 1770' what you want it to be, "Oceanrunners" have just the tour for you.

Scooter-Roo Tours |
 |
Scooter-Roo Tours are run every day from our base in Springs Road, Agnes
Water. The tours are led by our experienced guide and encompass the
environs of Agnes Water and Town of 1770.
Hire your own scooter, car licence only, just like riding a bike!
First we take you to quiet country roads where kangaroos and wallabies
graze quietly as they have done since The Dreamtime.
The next part of the tour includes a look around Agnes Water township,
with views of the sea from the urban streets and hills in town, before
moving on to the Marina at Town of 1770.
This short, 6 km ride is along undulating tarseal surfaced road, where
it is possible to see the odd dingo or goanna. On reaching the Marina,
you have an opportunity to feed the millions of fish and, with luck and
a good tide, to see the resident Groper.
Leaving the Marina the expedition follows Round Hill Creek Estuary to
the headland at 1770, passing the spot that lieutenant James Cook landed
on 24th May 1770, his first landing in what is now Queensland.
A leisurely ride back to The Tree, a unique roadside bar, where we rest
and wait for sunset, which can be spectacular from the rocks at the edge
of the water. Lastly we ride back to Agnes Water and disperse
